Well, we've been putting it off for ages. Trying our best and hoping it would get better... but it hasn't.

So we're closing.

We're just not making a living and we don't have (and can't raise) the funds to invest and make the kind of changes that might save us.

It's sort of depressing to be the person on watch when it happens... the shop has been here trading as a bookshop since 1972.

But the book trade has changed drastically since then. Between the economy, supermarkets, the internet and ebooks, it's become a very difficult thing to run what used to be so common - a simple, straight forward, dedicated 2nd hand bookshop.

So, we're closing. End of March is the date that's being worked toward.

At the moment, we've got a bit of a sale on. BUY ONE GET ONE FREE on all 2nd hand books (no returns on those however). Stop by and grab things while you can!

It's a shame, and it does weigh heavily. But like Dylan said, "The Times, they are a-changin..."

Who knows what the future will bring?

We're not quite gone just yet, so I won't say goodbye... but more I hope to see you before we go.

All the best,
